Discipline, consistency and focus have changed my body and the way I move for the better.

About me & the pilates cafe

I found Pilates after giving birth to my second daughter. I was looking for something personalized to my needs at the time and a way to be held accountable to my goals. After some research, I found a studio with a strong reputation and bought a 12-pack of private sessions. It felt like an investment, but I was motivated and I knew the 1:1 nature and intimacy of the private lesson would be the type of individualized guidance I needed. I bought the package and never looked back. Once I finished those sessions, I wanted more. I had more energy than ever (though my baby daughter wasn’t sleeping!), I gained muscle and lost my baby weight, and I felt like I had found a regimen that was made for ME -- I knew I could continue this well into my old age. It was transformational .

Most people stop there, but I loved what Pilates had done for me and I wanted to share this special method with others. I embarked on and completed a rigorous 650+ hour certification program with Nicole Briggs and Keion Moradi Means at Strong Body Pilates in North Hollywood.  My mentors were students of Jay Grimes, who taught Pilates authentically, as it was imparted to him by Joseph Pilates. Jay said, "Don't do Pilates because you hate your body, do it because you love it."

I have a passion for helping my clients. I understand the commitment that it takes to start from scratch, postpartum, to being stronger than ever. Whether you are just finding exercise for the first time or a college or professional athlete, book a session with me and come experience how Pilates can transform you.
